Passion fruits jelly 百香果燕菜

Last week Mom bought me a lot of passion fruits, about 20 of them and i knew we couldn't eat all before it turned rotten. So I decided to make passion fruits Jelly (a.k.a agar-agar in Malaysia).

Ingredients:
  1. 8-10 fresh passion fruits
  2. 1 packet of jelly powder (25g)
  3. 2.5 liters of water
  4. 0.5kg of White Granulated Sugar

Method :
  1. Cut the fruit in half and dig out the pulp and seed with a teaspoon.
  2. Pour the jellp powder into 2.5 liters of water, cook and stir until boil.
  3. Add in 0.5kg of sugar and keep stirring for another 5 minutes or until dissolve.
  4. Add the pulp and seed into the jelly mixture, imediatelly turn off heat and stir well.
  5. Pour the jelly mixture into mould or tray. For better taste, store in refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving.

Wonderful Melaka Trip

When i heard of Melaka, 2 things come to mind automatically...first is Chicken Rice ball and secondly Nyonya Food!! It's been for almost 2 years since our last visit Melaka, so we decided to drive all the way to Melaka for our 2 days getaway!!

Guess what, for 2 days trip, we mainly spent time on 2 street! yup, Jonker street and Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock was formely known as Heeren Street which used to be called the 'Millionaire's Row' of Melaka.

We stayed at this antique-like Hotel Puri at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. It is We managed to check in at 10.45am and parked at Hotel Puri Car Park (they have private locked car park which is just several shophouses away from the hotel), before check-in you have to inform the security guard so that they can open the car park gate for you.
Get walking maps at the Hotel Puri reception - they have 2 maps, one is for makan and the other is for shopping.

Night time, we decided to had an authentic local Nyonya food for dinner at Nancy Kitchen. After the dinner, we continued walk along Jonker Walk night market that was full of  food, fashion, toys and all kind of interesting and attractive stuffs!!!

Little Ivan had so much fun at Jonker Walk.

Before heading back to JB, we went to Nadeje's for their famous mille crepe!! yum yums
